Ashade Mouhana, a Syria-born chemistry PhD, drives a cab in New York and seeks financial assistance to free his detained brother. He befriends a passenger, Phyllis, who claims to be a TV executive and offers to help, but instead asks him to commit an act of terrorism. When he refuses and discovers she stole his money, his cab is confiscated and his sister-in-law is questioned. Seeking revenge, he shaves his beard, assumes a new identity, and confronts Phyllis at Q-Dog Television, unaware of the shocking truth about her identity.
