After the death of private detective Sam Spade, his son inherits the agency and must keep his father's sarcastic secretary and continue his tradition of serving minorities. An obese man is killed, and Spade is offered to buy his father's copy of the Maltese Falcon, which a right-wing thug is hired to ensure he delivers.
