A high school student, Paul Stephens, is a science geek with a fascination for "wow factor" science. He connects with Dr. John Mathewson, a scientist who is interested in his mother, Elizabeth. John invites Paul to Medatomics, a medical research facility, to show him "wow" experiments. Paul is impressed, but more intrigued by a "green goo" that he believes is radioactive material for atomic bombs. Paul and his girlfriend, Jenny, an aspiring journalist, want to expose Medatomics as a secret government nuclear facility. They plan to make a bold statement to get their message across, but risk putting their lives and the community in danger if the authorities discover their plan.
