Chris Collet's remarkable journey in the entertainment industry began in his teenage years when he started to break into showbiz, securing himself an agent in the process. His debut film role was in the 1983 independent horror/mystery/slasher film Sleepaway Camp, where he played the character of Paul. This initial foray into the world of cinema marked the beginning of a long and storied career, with Collet going on to appear in a wide range of films and television shows.
One of his earliest notable roles was in the 1984 CBS after-school special Welcome Home, Jellybean, where he played the character of Neil Oxley. This initial success was followed by a string of other notable performances, including his portrayal of Jake Livingston in the 1984 film Firstborn, which starred Teri Garr and Peter Weller. Collet's versatility as an actor was further showcased in his roles as Richard Jahnke Jr. in the 1985 film Right to Kill?, Paul Stephens in the 1986 film The Manhattan Project, starring John Lithgow, and Albert Kaussner in the 1995 mini-series The Langoliers, based on the novel by Stephen King.
In addition to his work in film, Collet also made numerous guest appearances on popular television shows, including The Hitchhiker, The Equalizer, L.A. Law, and MacGyver. However, Collet's passion for acting didn't stop at the small screen or the big screen. He also pursued his craft on stage, starring in several Broadway productions.
