A man, Godfrey, is haunted by a personal tragedy and copes by adopting various personas, including an Art Critic, College Professor, singing Cowboy, and more. He meets Sara, a writer with writer's block, who becomes intrigued by his many identities and uses him as inspiration for her novel. As they form a bond, they help each other heal from their own emotional wounds.
