A wealthy compound in Mexico City, surrounded by walls and surveillance, is breached by three small-time thieves on a stormy night. The group breaks into a house, killing an elderly woman, and the residents respond by forming militias to hunt them down. Two of the thieves and a security guard are killed, but a 16-year-old boy named Miguel manages to hide in the basement of a teenager named Alejandro.
