In the suburbs, a closeted 16-year-old girl inherits her estranged father's belongings, including drawings, a CD, and letters from Liza Minnelli. As she's forced into conversion therapy, she escapes with her father's ashes and commandeers a hearse to fulfill what she believes is her father's final wish in Los Angeles. She's joined by a 66-year-old man with a troubled past who becomes her unlikely chauffeur.
