A widow, Elizabeth, finds solace in Larry after her husband John leaves for war and is presumed dead. Years later, John returns, disfigured and with a new identity as Erik, who has an adopted daughter. He reunites with Elizabeth, unaware she has a son, Drew, and must choose whether to reveal his true identity.
