A notorious counterfeiter, known as "100 Dollar Bill" Bailey, has evaded capture for 15 years by passing off his fake C-notes. He poses as a Secret Service agent and recruits police help to catch himself at a racetrack, but instead uses the sting operation to exchange his fake bills for real ones. However, Torchy and his team, including a furloughed Gahagan and a German shepherd named Blitzen, eventually uncover the counterfeiting ring.
