In the midst of World War II, a childless couple, Fritz and Emma, conceal a Jewish refugee, Albert, at their secluded farm in the Black Forest, defying the dangers of Nazi occupation.

In 1942, a remote Black Forest farm serves as a hiding place for a Jewish refugee named Albert, who is taken in by Fritz and his wife Emma. When Fritz suggests an unconventional proposal to Albert, asking him to father a child with his wife, the couple's marriage is turned upside down amidst the chaos of war and escape.
