Biography

Maryam Mirzakhani, a renowned Iranian mathematician, was born on May 12, 1977, in Tehran, Iran. She is the first and, to date, the only woman to have won the Fields Medal, often referred to as the "Nobel Prize of mathematics".

Mirzakhani's fascination with mathematics began at a young age, and she was encouraged by her parents to pursue her interest. She went on to study at the University of Tehran, where she earned her bachelor's degree in mathematics in 1999.

She then moved to the United States to pursue her graduate studies, earning her master's degree from Harvard University in 2004 and her Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2009. Her dissertation, titled "Simple Geodesics and Weil-Petersson volumes of moduli spaces of punctured spheres", focused on the study of geometric structures and their applications to number theory.

Additionally, he also appeared in a number of feature films, including the 2003 release "Sie haben Knut" (They Have Knut),a film that further solidified his position as a rising star in the world of German cinema.

Throughout the extensive duration of his professional trajectory, Wagner has had the privilege of making numerous appearances in the esteemed German television series "Tatort", not only as a guest star but also in the pivotal role of Detective Friedemann Berg within the Black Forest "Tatort" of SWR, where he has had the pleasure of sharing the screen with the talented actress Eva Löbau since 2017.

Furthermore, Wagner has also had the opportunity to portray the character of Detective Chief Inspector Hendrik Verhoeven in a total of nine episodes of the ZDF crime series "Kommissarin Heller", a role he has had the privilege of embodying from 2013 to 2021.
