A sci-fi/horror hybrid film about an alien creature that lands in Northern Maryland and begins to roam the countryside, searching for its first meal. The creature, known as the "Crawler", is carnivorous and grows larger with each victim it devours. A team of UFO enthusiasts and government agents clash as they try to capture or eliminate the creature, leading to lies, double-crosses, and death.
