Wandering cowboys Jimmy and Pidge, sons of the sage, embark on a journey after Pidge loses their horses in a poker game. They take on a job rounding up wild Brahmas for rancher Cardigan, but things don't go well. Pidge falls for a guest at a neighboring dude ranch, Marcia, and Jimmy follows to "save" his friend. The film's second half focuses on Jimmy's scheme to make Pidge think it's still night, so he'll stand up Marcia.
