Ohio high school student Scott Thomas is about to graduate and go into pre-med, but his life takes a dramatic turn when he's dumped by his girlfriend Fiona on graduation day. Feeling lost, Scott turns to his German pen pal Mike, who makes romantic advances. However, Scott discovers Mike is actually a beautiful girl named Mieke and decides to impulsively travel to Berlin to be with her. Joined by his friend Cooper, they embark on a journey from London to Berlin, encountering obstacles and adventures along the way.
