A serial killer, known as The Picasso Killer, is wreaking havoc in a major American city, with the police struggling to find leads. Meanwhile, a bartender named Christie Wallace dreams of leaving the city with her 6-year-old daughter Zoe to escape the violence. On Christmas Eve, Christie witnesses a woman being attacked by The Picasso Killer and is chased herself. She seeks refuge in a commercial building, but the night watchman is reluctant to help. When the police arrive, a blackout ensues, and the detectives find themselves trapped and at the mercy of the killer.
