A neurotic talking goose named Randall is kidnapped by a school principal to fatten him up for a culinary contest. A young boy named Will, who stopped speaking after his mother's death, befriends Randall and helps him escape. Will's love for butterscotch candies and rude noises is matched by his determination to rescue Randall from being cooked.
