A man's strategy to gain residency in a new country by marrying someone he doesn't truly love is upended when he unexpectedly falls for his partner.

American Brontë Parrish and Frenchman Georges Fauré enter into a marriage of convenience, with no expectation of a romantic relationship. Georges, an aspiring composer, wants a green card, while Brontë, a horticulturist, needs to be married to obtain her dream apartment. However, when immigration services make a surprise visit, they must spend time together to convince them their marriage is genuine. As they navigate their new living arrangement, they face challenges from hiding their marriage from friends and family, and ultimately, they may discover that their differences make it difficult to overcome their initial intentions.
