Invitation to a Suicide

A Polish man in Brooklyn's Greenpoint embarks on a quixotic quest to save his ailing father's life by hawking tickets to his own predicted death.

Kaz, a young man from a New York bakery, dreams of escaping to California with his childhood crush Eva. To finance his escape, he attempts to steal $10,000 from a Russian mobster involved in snuff films. However, his plan goes awry, the money is destroyed, and the mobster threatens to kill Kaz's father unless he pays back the debt within a day. With no one in his community having the necessary funds, Kaz resorts to an unconventional plan: selling tickets to his own suicide.
