In the early 20th century, Jerónimo Lim Kim, a Korean immigrant who was once an indentured servant in Mexico, partners with his law school friend Fidel Castro to join the Cuban Revolution, eventually rising to become a prominent government official.

Jerónimo Lim Kim, a Korean-Cuban born to freed indentured servants, joins the Cuban Revolution with Fidel Castro and rises through the government ranks. However, he later rediscovers his Korean heritage and dedicates himself to reclaiming his identity.
