In 1920s Turkey, a young peasant falls for a beautiful girl, but their love is threatened when she's promised to marry the Governor's fat and dull cousin. The peasant joins a group of outlaws fighting against the wealthy elite who control the villagers' lives, but their success attracts the attention of the Turkish Army, which is sent to capture or kill them.
