Simeon Moni Damevski, a multifaceted artist, was born in 1958 in the vibrant city of Skopje, Macedonia. His journey in the world of entertainment began at the tender age of 11, when he started his career as a theater actor. Two years later, he landed the lead role in a children's TV series, "The Thirteenth Key," produced by the Macedonian National Television. After completing his formal education at the Macedonian Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Damevski pursued his passion for acting by training under the renowned American teacher, William Esper, in the United States in 1989.
Throughout his illustrious career spanning over four decades, Damevski has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. He has performed in numerous theater, TV, and film projects in both Macedonia and the US. His impressive acting credits include performances on Broadway, Off-Broadway, Off-Off Broadway, and Los Angeles, as well as printed media campaigns, TV commercials, and feature films. Some of his notable roles include Woody Allen's made-for-TV production, "Don't Drink the Water," the critically acclaimed film "Before the Rain," which was nominated for an Academy Award, and the Macedonia-based film "God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunya," which competed at the Berlin Film Festival.
As his experience and expertise grew, so did his interests and pursuits. In addition to acting, Damevski has ventured into production, having produced two feature films, "The Return" (2018) and "The War Is Over" (2010),as well as six documentary films and two TV pilots. He has also worked as a casting director, theater director, script doctor, and screenwriter, and has served as an assistant teacher and acting coach on several projects. His latest project as a producer is set to begin principal photography in September 2021 and is based on one of his original feature film screenplays.
