The film tells the story of Radha, a mother who faces poverty and hardship after her husband Shamu's arms are crushed by a boulder, leaving him unable to work. Despite her efforts to rebuild their life, Radha's family is repeatedly victimized by the greedy moneylender Sukhilala. Her son Birju grows up resentful and bitter, eventually becoming a bandit and seeking revenge against Sukhilala and his family. In a tragic twist, Radha is forced to shoot and kill Birju to protect Sukhilala's daughter, bringing an end to the cycle of violence and poverty.
