During the final stages of World War II, a group of prisoners at Buchenwald risk everything to save a four-year-old Jewish boy, born in Auschwitz, from the edge of mortality.

At the end of March 1945, a prisoner named Hans Pippig finds a three-year-old Jewish child hidden in a carrying case of an incoming prisoner at Buchenwald Concentration Camp. If he reports the child, it will likely be killed, but if he keeps it a secret, he risks violating the camp's rules and jeopardizing the planned uprising of prisoners against the SS.
