In 1940, amidst the chaos of Paris's evacuation, two women, Kitty and Emmy, embark on a perilous journey to smuggle a wounded RAF flyer to safety. They use their resources to evade capture, including hiding the flyer in their car and enlisting the help of Kitty's estranged husband, a member of the French underground. As they navigate the treacherous landscape, they concoct a plan to disguise the flyers as mourners in a funeral procession, allowing them to cross the border into unoccupied France. However, their actions do not go unnoticed, and they must stay one step ahead of a suspicious Gestapo captain and his spy to ensure their mission succeeds.
