Two veteran Chicago cops, Danny and Ray, are sent to Key West for a forced vacation after a close call on a case. The laid-back atmosphere of Key West inspires them to leave their stressful jobs behind and open a bar. However, their plans are put on hold when they learn that their nemesis, Julio, a notorious drug dealer, has escaped and is plotting a massive drug deal. Despite their desire to retire, the duo decides to complete the case against Julio, but they struggle to maintain their edge and effectiveness, realizing that their years of experience and commitment to the job have given them a unique set of skills that are hard to replicate in a new life.
