A Mongolian herdsman flees to the hills after a confrontation with a deceitful western trader. He later joins the Soviet-backed partisans in their fight against the occupying army. Captured while trying to protect his fellow herdsmen from cattle requisition, he's discovered to be a descendant of Genghis Khan and is then used by the army to lead a puppet regime.
