In this Western, a ruthless gang leader disguises himself as a peacekeeper and manipulates the election of an honest mayor, Julia Beck, to further his illegal activities. When Steve Drake, aka The Durango Kid, is brought in to help stop him, the gang leader frames Steve for murder and kills Julia's father. Steve returns to town, posing as the notorious Texas Dynamo, and exposes the gang leader's deceit to Julia, but not before he also frames her brother for a crime he didn't commit.
