The Cattle Thief

A mysterious figure lives a dual existence, disguising himself as a trader during the day and a masked vigilante at night to rid a rural community of rustlers.

In the movie, a rancher named Cal Pierson becomes paralyzed and his foreman, Ranse Willard, takes control. Ranse builds a barbed-wire fence across the valley entrance and demands a fee from cattleman who pass through. A investigator, Ken Martin, poses as a peddler to gather information and saves a cattleman's life. He then carries a message to Cal, asking if he really wants the pass closed.
