A former convict orchestrates a daring heist at his new employer's secluded country estate, driven by a debt to his ex-wife, but his plans are foiled by a clever foe who has laid a lethal trap.

The Chase family relocates to a secluded home in Detroit, where handyman Arkin is hired to repair the windows and doors. However, his daughter and wife are struggling with debt to dangerous loan sharks, and Arkin's meager weekly wages won't cover their financial burden. Desperate, he concocts a plan to break into the safe of Michael Chase that night, but upon arrival, he discovers the family held captive by a ruthless criminal and trapped in a deadly maze.
