Three college students, two from the US and one from Denmark, embark on a day trip to Ambrose Castle, where they're led on a tour by the earl who references the castle's ghostly inhabitants. As the castle closes, the trio decides to hide and investigate if the ghosts are real. Their adventure takes them to the great hall, where they discover that the portraits come to life, and they must put an end to a 600-year-old curse. Along the way, they face numerous obstacles, including a cat and rat, a rattlesnake, an ax-wielding suit of armor, and a slave's dance.
