Margo Dey, a college student, works in a morgue at night, surrounded by the quiet of the ancient marble floors. Her only companions are the corpses and George, the grief-stricken night watchman. The peace is disrupted when a group of strangers, including Peter, Nan, and Jill, appear, seeking refuge from the darkness. As they try to recover and leave, it becomes clear that something in the morgue wants them to stay. The situation spirals out of control when more strangers, including Jacob and Samim, arrive, wounded and desperate for help. The group must band together to survive and escape the ominous force closing in on them.
