Chris was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and spent his formative years in Baltimore, Maryland, where he developed a rugged charm that would later serve him well in his acting career. Chris's journey in the film industry began at Towson University, his alma mater, where he initially pursued a career in directing. However, he soon discovered that acting was a valuable tool to enhance his filmmaking skills. As one of the first non-theater majors to be accepted into the university's Conservatory program, Chris's talent and dedication quickly earned him recognition.
After graduating, Chris began working on commercials and honing his stand-up comedy skills in Baltimore. He then landed a job on a film directed by Craig Bolotin, which featured a talented cast, including Juliet Lewis, Katherine Heigl, and C. Thomas Howell. Howell, who would become a mentor to Chris, encouraged him to relocate to Los Angeles, where he would go on to work with Howell on four films that he directed.
Chris's breakthrough roles came with John Woo's epic film Windtalkers and the TV series The Nanny. Since then, he has enjoyed a successful career, appearing in numerous films and TV shows, often alongside Oscar, Emmy, and Tony award-winning actors. In addition to his screen work, Chris has also made a name for himself on stage, starring in critically acclaimed productions such as Death of a Salesman, A Hatful of Rain, Camelot, Balm in Gilead, Henry V, and Neil Simon's Fools.
When he's not acting, Chris is a creative force to be reckoned with. He writes, directs, and performs stand-up comedy, and is also an avid cyclist and triathlete, pushing himself to new heights in these pursuits.
