The National Tree background

The National Tree

A majestic Sitka Spruce tree, nurtured by a young boy, is selected to serve as the iconic national Christmas Tree, proudly standing outside the White House.

A 17-year-old video blogger wins a nationwide contest with his family's Sitka Spruce, chosen as the new national Christmas tree. The family embarks on a cross-country road trip to bring the tree to Washington D.C., where it will be lit by the President. Along the way, the tree gains popularity, but the family must decide what's more important: its market value or its sentimental significance.
