In the city of dreams, a 16-year-old aspiring model named Jesse arrives in Los Angeles, convinced she'll make it big. With the help of aspiring photographer Dean, who also becomes her love interest, Jesse's portfolio takes shape. She befriends a lesbian makeup artist named Ruby and meets rival models Gigi and Sarah at a party. As Jesse's unique "thing" catches the eye of the industry, she's sent to a professional photographer, Jack, and her career takes off. But Ruby, Gigi, and Sarah will stop at nothing to get their hands on that special quality for themselves.
