Grant Korgan, a snowmobiling enthusiast, suffered a burst-fractured L1 vertebrae while filming in the Sierra Nevada back-country in 2010, leaving him paralyzed and told he would never walk again. However, Grant and his wife Shawna remained determined to achieve 120% recovery. In 2012, Grant joined two seasoned explorers and, against all odds, became the first spinal cord injured athlete to trek nearly 100 miles to the South Pole.
