In 19th century India, a deadly cult terrorizes travelers, plundering their valuables. As the crisis deepens and trade falters, the British East India Company is compelled to intervene. However, they appoint an inexperienced and culturally naive officer to lead the operation, overlooking a more qualified candidate who has spent years in India and possesses valuable knowledge of the local people and customs.
