A British paratroop squad is dropped behind enemy lines, with Private Johnny Barrows being the sole survivor. He joins forces with three dysfunctional soldiers: Murphy, a sociopath who's controlling and vicious; Filey, who's hyperactive and child-like after receiving a head wound; and Rock, a silent, muscular US soldier suffering from combat fatigue. As tensions rise, the group captures a seasoned SS officer, who manipulates their differences to escape. Johnny must quickly become a leader to survive and reach safety.
