When a teenage boy creates a growth compound, his girlfriend's little brother, nicknamed Genius, animals begin to grow to enormous sizes. A group of troublemakers, led by Fred, exploit the goo's power, becoming nearly unstoppable. As Genius struggles to recreate the formula, Mike and other teenagers in town must navigate the chaos caused by the giant delinquents.
