Waiting for Guffman

The residents of Blaine, Missouri, are gearing up for their sesquicentennial celebrations, featuring the original musical "Red, White and Blaine". The production is led by Corky St. Clair, a former New York theater professional, and high school music teacher Lloyd Miller. Despite having a "talented" cast of locals, Corky and Lloyd are unaware of their own lack of talent. The cast and crew are particularly eager for Mort Guffman's review, a representative of the prestigious Oppenheimer Organization, as they believe a favorable review will send the production to Broadway.
