In August 1969, a group of hippies, led by Charles Manson, commit gruesome murders in Los Angeles canyons. Meanwhile, a former seminarian named Ike "Vikar" Jerome arrives, with Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift's images tattooed on his head.
