Aashiq Abu is a multifaceted Indian film professional, effortlessly transitioning between the roles of director, producer, and actor. Born in the vibrant city of Kochi, Kerala in 1978, he is the son of C.M. Abu and Jameela Abu.
Aashiq Abu's educational journey took him to Maharajas College, Ernakulam, where he was an energetic and dedicated member of the student union for consecutive years. This formative experience undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping his future endeavors.
In his personal life, Aashiq Abu tied the knot with the talented Malayalam actress Rima Kallingal in 2013, marking a new chapter in his life.
Before venturing into filmmaking, Aashiq Abu worked as an assistant to the renowned director Kamal for several years, honing his skills and learning the intricacies of the craft. In 2009, he finally made his directorial debut with the movie "Daddy Cool".
Aashiq Abu's subsequent films, "Salt N' Pepper" (2011) and "22 Female Kottayam" (2012),have earned him widespread recognition and critical acclaim, with the latter being remade in other languages.
