Abigail, born on October 13, 1987, is a multifaceted individual who has made a name for herself in both the acting and literary worlds. Growing up in North East England, she developed a passion for theatre at the tender age of eight.
Abigail's academic prowess was recognized early on, as she became one of the first 100 members of the National Academy of Gifted and Talented Youth at the age of 14. This esteemed recognition placed her within the top 5% of the population, showcasing her exceptional abilities.
She went on to achieve an impressive 10 A* GCSEs and 5 A Grade A Levels, further solidifying her academic credentials. Abigail's talent and dedication led her to train with the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain at the age of 16, where she landed a lead role in their 2007 season.
Her next step was to study 'Acting For Film' at the New York Film Academy school in France, where she acted in over 20 short films. Notable among these was La Geode, a film by New York artist Theresa Hong, which appeared in the Official Selection of the New York, LA, and Strasbourg Short Film Festivals. Abigail also collaborated with Washington DC design company 'Dissident Display' on a film project during this time.
In 2008, Abigail shot for 'Philip Pullman's The Butterfly Tattoo', an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Philip Pullman, which was released in UK and US cinemas in 2009. She also appeared in British gangster film 'Jack Says', which was the last film of English actor and treasure Mike Reid, and as one of the three lead characters in Schrodinger's Girl, a science fiction feature film exploring quantum tunneling and cross-dimensional travel, which premiered in San Diego, California in 2009, in the Official Selection of the Comic-Con Independent Film Festival. Abigail was named a 'One To Watch' in 2009 by Moviescope Magazine for her impressive body of work.
Abigail's literary endeavors also began to take shape, as her literary agent, Jo Unwin of London agency Conville & Walsh, sold her first novel 'Flick' to UK publishers Beautiful Books in early 2010. The book is set to be released on April 7th, 2011. In addition to her literary pursuits, Abigail shot for feature film 'Three Stags' directed by Mark Locke and bilingual thriller 'Taxi Rider' in 2010. Taxi Rider screens in the Official Selection of both the Oxford International Film Festival and the Academy-Award recognized St. Louis International Film Festival in the fall of 2010.
Today, Abigail resides in London, where she continues to work on various projects, both in film and literature. Her love for travel and her ability to work worldwide have allowed her to explore different cultures and industries, making her a true Renaissance woman.
