Biography

Adriano Rimoldi was born in La Spezia and later moved to Florence in the 1930s to pursue a career in medicine. However, he developed a passion for theatre and began participating in student productions and radio contests.

His early career in film began with a role in the comedy Mille lire al mese, where he played a radio man. He then gained widespread recognition with his role in Addio giovinezza!, a film that dealt with the new medium of television.

Rimoldi went on to work with various directors, including Corrado D'Errico, Mario Soldati, Dino Falconi, and Christian Jacque, in films such as Miseria e nobiltà, La compagnia della Teppa, Capitan Tempesta, and Il leone di Damasco.

During World War II, Rimoldi worked in Spain, where he became a star of Spanish cinema, starring in films such as Dora la espía and a dozen films by Ignacio F. Iquino.

After the war, Rimoldi returned to Italy and continued to work in film, television, and theatre. He played leads in films such as La mano della morta, Sigillo rosso, Capitan Demonio, Gente cosí, and Ultimo perdono.

In the 1950s, Rimoldi returned to theatrical comedy with Gran baldoria and acted in three television plays. He also established himself in television with the operetta Wunderbar.

From the late 1950s to the early 1960s, Rimoldi played in several Spanish films and had a recurring role in the Spanish TV series Cocina. He then appeared in films such as King of Kings and Nocturne in New York.

Adriano Rimoldi's final film role was in the Spanish comedy Zarabanda Bing Bing, and he passed away in Rome in 1965.
