A native of Chicago, Aimee hails from a rich cultural heritage, being of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent. Her journey in the performing arts began at the tender age of seven, when she made her professional stage debut in Paul Mejia's production of "Cinderella" at The Auditorium Theatre.
By the time she turned twelve, Aimee had already gained significant experience, dancing in "The Nutcracker" for a staggering 20 shows a month, playing the role of Clara. Her early start in the industry was further bolstered by her membership in the prestigious Young People's Company, an esteemed institution that has nurtured the talents of notable alumni such as John Cusack, Joan Cusack, Jeremy Piven, Lili Taylor, and Aidan Quinn.
Aimee's academic pursuits led her to Northwestern University, where she earned a triple major in economics, journalism, and French. Her time at Northwestern was marked by a remarkable achievement, as she was hand-picked by renowned producer Norman Lear to star in his pilot-in-development, "The Chavez Family", and also landed the lead role of Diana Morales in the Broadway production of "A Chorus Line", choreographed by the illustrious Mitzi Hamilton.
Following her graduation, Aimee transitioned to television, establishing a successful career in Los Angeles. She made her mark on the small screen with roles in "Greetings from Tucson" (2002) and "George Lopez" (2002),where she played the role of Veronica Palmero, the daughter of Andy Garcia and niece of George Lopez. Aimee's achievement was notable, as she became the only Latina in her generation to be featured in a syndicated television show.
Aimee's impressive resume continued to grow, as she received nominations for both an ALMA and Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series in 2007.
In addition to her television work, Aimee also starred in Peter Berg's medical drama "Trauma" (2009) on NBC, further solidifying her status as a talented and versatile actress.
