Born and raised just outside of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, A.J. has been performing on stage and screen since the tender age of five. Throughout his formative years, he dedicated himself to the pursuit of theatrical excellence, studying theatre and music in both high school and college.
A.J.'s educational journey took him to the esteemed Harrisburg Arts Magnet School, where he honed his craft during his high school years. He later went on to graduate from Penn State University in 1992, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts.
In addition to his impressive acting credentials, A.J. is also a talented musician and songwriter. He has released several albums with various bands, including Strawberry Square and The Sandcarvers. The latter group's achievements have been recognized with the prestigious Rock Artist Of The Year award by the Wisconsin Area Music Industry in 2011. A.J. himself has been nominated for Best Male Vocalist on multiple occasions.
A.J.'s passion for the performing arts knows no bounds, as he seamlessly transitions between the worlds of film and live theatre. He currently serves as the Front Of House Manager for the Over Our Head Players at the Sixth Street Theatre in Racine, Wisconsin. As part of the management team, A.J. is responsible for overseeing the production of numerous shows each year, including original works and previously produced pieces. The organization's annual Snowdance 10 Minute Comedy Festival has gained international recognition since its inception over two decades ago.
In recognition of his outstanding dedication and commitment to the Over Our Head Players, A.J. was awarded the OOHPIE Award in 2023, the organization's highest honor. He has been a valued member of the team since 2016, consistently demonstrating his unwavering enthusiasm and support for the group's mission.
