Alaine Huntington is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in the film industry, having worked on both independent and larger-budget projects. Her notable contributions include the animal rights documentary Dominion and Kickboxer: Vengeance, a martial arts film starring Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Born in North Miami Beach, Florida, Alaine earned a Bachelor's degree in multimedia, religious studies, and environmental science from the University of Alabama. Initially without formal theater training, she later refined her skills in film and event production, as well as acting, through an intensive program at the Moscow Art Theatre School (MxAT) under Harvard instructors.
Prior to her film career, Alaine began her journey in media by working in technical operations for DragonCon, followed by stints in radio broadcasting and music production. She recorded independent news, musicians, and storytellers, collaborated with HBCU Stillman College to document historical interviews, and volunteered as a disc jockey and radio news anchor.
Early in her film career, Alaine focused on projects that highlighted pressing social and environmental issues, including stories about differently-abled and unhoused military veterans, as well as the ecological consequences of the BP oil disaster on coastal Louisiana. Her work aimed to shed light on these important topics through storytelling.
As an event producer, Alaine has organized sponsorships, teach-ins, and festivals that offer resources to those facing adversity.
