Notably, his 2013 project, "La Casa del Fin de los Tiempos" (also known as "The House at the End of Time"),holds the distinction of being the first Venezuelan horror film. This critically acclaimed production earned widespread recognition for its intricate plot and surprising twist, ultimately becoming the highest-grossing horror film in Venezuelan history and the most widely distributed Venezuelan film globally.
In 2016, New Line Cinema acquired the rights to produce an American remake of "La Casa del Fin de los Tiempos", with Hidalgo attached as director and producer.
Fast forward to 2019, Hidalgo successfully completed principal photography for his first feature film in English, titled "The Exorcism of God". This highly anticipated project is being represented by the sales company XYZ Films, with a scheduled theatrical release in the US and worldwide during the first quarter of 2022.
