Person Biography:
Ali Kazmi, a multilingual and multifaceted actor, director, and producer, was born in Karachi, Pakistan. He grew up in a family of creative professionals, including his parents, Rahat Kazmi and Sahira Kazmi, who are both renowned actors and directors. His sister, Nida Kazmi, is also an actress, and his grandfather was a Bollywood actor named Shyam.
Ali's passion for acting began at a young age. He started modeling, dancing, and acting professionally at the age of 14. He moved to Toronto, Canada, where he attended film school and drama school, and began his career again from scratch.
Throughout his 17-year career in the entertainment industry, Ali has worked on numerous projects in Pakistan, India, Canada, and the USA. He has a strong background in theater, television, and film, and has played a wide range of characters in his portfolio.
Ali is a polyglot, speaking eight languages, including English, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Persian, Pashto/Dari, French, and Arabic. He is a marathoner, triathlete, certified scuba diver, adventurer, traveler, and dreamer.
In addition to his acting career, Ali has worked as a freelance creative consultant for several major advertising agencies, including Publicis, Maclaren McCan, Balmoral Communications Inc., and Focus Communications Inc. He has also hosted and produced several shows for Ary Digital Canada and TV One Canada.
Ali is the director and producer of the South Asian division of China Syndrome Productions Inc. and Blue Ocean Ethnic Productions, and has produced and directed several successful multicultural projects, commercials, documentaries, and videos for various clients and organizations.
