Alison Robertson, a native of New Jersey, was introduced to the world of show business by none other than the legendary Liberace. She then pursued her academic training in New York City, working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Marymount Manhattan College. Her first Off-Broadway production was Lennon, a Life, where she originated the role of Cynthia.
From there, Alison went on to land a whirlwind of roles in various theatres across the country, including Pippin, Noises Off, Grand Hotel, Wait Until Dark, and Dracula. She particularly enjoyed starring as Tina in Tony & Tina's Wedding in Philadelphia and New York, and was part of the award-winning casts of After the Fall at the Fountain Theater and Children of the Night at Beverly Hills Playhouse in Los Angeles.
Alison's transition to film and television brought her to Los Angeles, where she was cast in the hit TV show Dawson's Creek and was personally cast by M. Night Shymalan in his successful debut film, The Sixth Sense. Since then, she has appeared in numerous popular shows, including Go On, Incredible Crew, Passions, West Wing, NCIS, The Bold and The Beautiful, and Better off Ted, among others. One of her favorite roles was Mrs. Cupertino on Nickelodeon's Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn.
In addition to her acting career, Alison is a certified professional coach, having created her own firm in 2010. She is also an author and columnist, with her advice column and articles featured on various websites, including e-Harmony, Your Tango, and 100 Best Dating Sites. As a professional speaker, Alison has had the opportunity to speak at various events across the Los Angeles area, including Universal Studios and the SAG Conservatory.
Alison is a devoted mother to her three children and is an avid wine enthusiast. She is also a motivational force, having spent the last three years empowering and supporting those who need a little extra help to achieve their goals. With her first book set to be released in 2019, Alison continues to be a dynamic and multifaceted individual, always striving to make a positive impact on those around her.
