Alison Sterling is a renowned film producer who has made a significant impact in the industry with her diverse range of projects. Her impressive portfolio includes the feature film "Flying Blind", starring Helen McCrory, which was released by Soda in the UK, Alter Ego in Poland, and sold internationally by Content Film.
Before transitioning to film production, Alison began her career as an actress and theatre producer. She then moved into TV and film production in 1997, where she made eight award-winning short films, including "Turning", which was BAFTA nominated, and "Flytopia".
In addition to her work in film production, Alison has also worked on various other moving image projects, such as TV documentaries and drama, academic research projects, artist's installations, and web-based oral history projects. She is an experienced Line Producer, having worked on large-scale TV commercials.
Alison is an active member of the film industry, having participated in the ACE European co-production workshop in 2014/5 and sitting on the Board of Encounters Film Festival. She has also contributed as a speaker at industry conferences and training courses, mentored young filmmakers for Creative England and First Light, and lectured at several universities, including Bristol, Falmouth, Gloucester, Bournemouth, Bath Spa, UWE, and the Wajda Institute in Warsaw.
